Praying for A Miracle - Frida Kahlo Fine Art Print
Before Frida Kahlo turned 25, she had experienced a tragic miscarriage, battled polio, and survived a terrible bus accident.
She never recovered from the loss of her child and the estrangement she was feeling. This altered her aesthetic perspective and advanced her career. Her miscarriage and unmet ambition to become a parent became a central element of her writing.
Rivera changed a panel in one of the trials he was painting at the time as a result of the miscarriage. The image on the panel depicts a newborn inside a plant bulb rather than an agricultural setting.
Frida was devastated because she wished she could have given birth to a baby Diego.
