Dreaming Diego - Frida Kahlo Art Print
When she and Diego Rivera split in August of 1940, she painted this picture. She didn't complete this picture until 1943. "Diego in My Thoughts" and "Thinking of Diego" are two additional names for this picture.
The desire to possess Diego Rivera, who keeps betraying her by having affairs with other women, is shown in this picture by Frida Kahlo. She, thought, can't help but think about him. She painted a tiny image of him on her brow to show how obsessed she is with the well-known Mexican artist.
She is dressed in the Mexican traditional Tehuana attire that Diego Rivera is fixated on in this self-portrait. She had leaves and a root on her head that looked like a spider's web. It may be her thoughts that she had Diego trapped in.
